Globacom (Glo) has transformed the way we manage and share mobile data by providing users with greater flexibility and ease. In our recently published piece, we covered how to use Glo’s EasyShare feature to share airtime. This time, we’ll be looking at: how to share data on Glo, how to unshare Data on Glo if necessary, what Glo Data sharing really is, and , how to manage shared data.
What Does It Mean to Share Data on Glo?
Sharing data on Glo allows users to grant others access to their current data balance. This function is very beneficial for families or friends who want to share a single data plan without exchanging data directly.
Unlike other networks such as MTN and Airtel, where data sharing normally requires transferring a set quantity of data from one user to another, Glo’s method gives the sharer direct access to their data balance.
For example, if you share a 10GB data package with someone, they will access data directly from your balance. This allows you to manage several users on a single plan, but you must regularly monitor consumption to avoid running out of data sooner than intended.
